First Up: Yesterday was Columbus Day, and to celebrate, Rick Solomon spent his wedding night trying to find an uncharted route into Pamela Anderson.
Item 2:  Senator Larry Craig, who promised to leave the Senate at the end of last month, has decided not to step down.  According to his spokesperson, "It's hard to step down when you have such a wide stance."
Item 3:  Dateline-England 
A man claims that a peacock caused $8,000 worth of damage to his Lexus convertible when the bird tried to have sex with the car.  According to the peacock's attorney, "A Lexus sitting around like that with its top down is just asking for it."
Item 4:  A Sad Note
Former drag racer and founder of the National Hot Rod Association Wally Parks passed away at the age of 94.  Per his wishes, he'll be buried on Sunday!  Sunday!  Sunday!
Item 5: The TV Land Network welcomed the original cast of Leave it To Beaver during the kick-off of the first annual 24 hour "Beaver-thon."  Not to be confused with a typical day of programming on the Lifetime Channel.
Item 6: For the first time ever, Garcia and Rodriguez have made the top ten list of the most common surnames in the United States.  According to officials at The Census Bureau, the names made the cut due to the exploding Hispanic population and the fact that they are willing to take the surnames Americans just don't want.
